President Buhari Begins Probe of Jonathan‘s Government

President Muhammadu Buhari has begins probe of ex president Goodluck Jonathan ‘s administration.

Vanguard reports that the National Economic Council (NEC) ad-hoc Committee on the Management of Excess Crude Account Proceeds and Accruals into the Federation Account is set to hire two international forensic audit firms to investigate revenue that accrued into the Federation Account and how it was spent under the former president.

The committee is being headed by governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole . He told newsmen that the auditors would investigate the period between January 1, 2010 to June 1, 2015.

Other members of the committee include Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Ibrahim Dankwambo o f Gombe, and Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom.
